The
Morrison Hotel
is one of the most luxurious
and visually stunning hotels
in Europe. Designers Douglas
Wallace and fashion dynamo,
John Rocha, have created a
masterpiece by incorporating
the 18th century facade of
a Georgian townhouse alongside
a thoroughly modern south-facing
front over looking the River
Liffey. The interior is a
mix of high ceilings with
pale white walls, stone floors
and beautiful grey hand crafted
Irish carpets. The hotel is
filled with original art by
artist Clea Van der Grjin
Accommodation
The Morrison has 84 of the most
stylish and comfortable rooms
in the city. Soothingly monochromatic
in black, chocolate and cream,
each room is a tranquil haven
of understated luxury, from
the Frette white linen and velvet
painted throws to the state-of-the-art
sound systems.
The bathrooms are a combination
of lime-stone floors, mosaic
tiles, with luscious fragrant
products. All rooms are equipped
with television, VCR, modem
connection, 2 telephone lines,
voice mail facility, private
bar and safe.
Dining
& Entertainment
Halo
At Halo the food is artfully
presented by Chef Jean-Michel
Poulot. Jean-Michel's philosophy
is to work with the finest of
Irish ingredients, respecting
the natural flavours through
careful preparation, using only
fresh herbs and spices that
enhance the natural flavour
of the main ingredients. A perfect
marriage and balance.
Morrison
Bar
The Morrison Bar with large
open windows overlooking the
River Liffey is a calm understatement
during the day. In the evening,
it is a very popular meeting
place for Dublin's glossiest
and most glamorous, not only
for drinks, but meetings or
light dining.
Lobo
Lobo, the Capital's hotspot
is a discovery. A late night
bar open until 3.00am on Friday
and Saturday night, during
the day and on other evenings,
this is available for private
hire up to 300 people. There
are various areas set on different
levels, a more formal dining
area, sofas for lounging,
not to mention the gleaming
golden gong and an Africanesque
head handcrafted by sculptor
Eoin Byrne
